Dr. Charles McVety has served as President of Canada Christian College since 1993. An international leader in the field of Christian Education, he brings extensive ministry experience in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe. He also authored Victory Guaranteed, a book on principles of Christian ministry.

Dr. Jennifer McVety accesses her 20 years of ministry experience to bring wise and caring counsel to each and every student. After ministering in over 30 countries, Jennifer understands the complexities of cultural diversity and the challenges facing students in the 21st Century.

Dr. Thomas has over 40 years of pastoral ministry experience including eight years of missionary service in Canada’s high arctic. Prior to becoming a pastor, he served eight years in the medical corp of the Royal Canadian Air Force and served on the Council of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario for eight years.

Dr. Tobey has served as Vice-President of Canada Christian College since 1976. He brings to his post more than 20 years of pastoral ministry experience, having served churches affiliated with the United Church of Canada and the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec.

Dr. Taylor studied at the London School of Music in Birmingham, England and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He has extensive experience in worship leading, keyboarding, sound recording and drama production. Dr. Taylor has ministered to millions through television and other media. He is an accomplished recording artist with several credits, including being the producer of an instrumental CD entitled “Whole Heart”.

Dr. McDonald has been active Christian Ministry since 1961. He’s a graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible College, Peterborough, Ontario & the L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles, California. John and Lorna presently own and operate two Christian bookstores in the Toronto area. They minister out as Evangelists. The courses he teaches are practical and pastoral.

Dr. Harold McCarthy taught high school English prior to his retirement. He is a highly regarded Bible teacher, among the Brethren, and is a past President of the Creation Science Association of Ontario.

Dr. Kwang Souk Yang has served as Vice- President of Canada Christian College, for the Korean Department, since 2000. He has also served as a successful pastor and educational administrator of Sungkyul Christian University and is one of Korean Christendom’s most respected leaders.

Rev. Wayne Chai is an accomplished musician playing a variety of instruments with several recordings. He has vast experience in conducting choirs and orchestras as well as leading worship as a minister of music. He studied in depth majoring in both musical Composition and Christian education in theology. The numerous compositions of his were included in the recording and publishing produced by the Sung Eum (Philips-affiliated) Record Limited and Si Sa English Company and Seoul Record Company in Korea. His composition, “Farmers' Dancing”, in particular was selected for the national epic of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games as representing the Korean Art Song broadly promoted by the MBC - Taejon 1 FM Broadcast. Noteworthy of his art world depicts a vibrant application of a new technique in composition that marked a historical fact in the history of Korean Art Songs, those which were appraised by the 1989 Science Publishers. Recently he published his composition works in Symphonic choral music and Art songs, both in Korean and English lyrics, mainly derived from the Biblical scriptures by Joongang Art Publishing Company and Eumag Chunchu Publishing Company in Korea. His works of music are readily accessible through   many of internet music providers.

Dr. Sam Martin graduated from the University of Manchester and then pursued his postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh. He has pastored at churches in Scotland and was the Senior Pastor at the Bayfair Baptist Church in Canada for 26 years. Dr. Martin also founded the Arms of Jesus Children’s Mossion Inc. which seeks to help children throughout the world. In addition to his lecturing at Canada Christian College, Dr. Martin is currently the pastor at the Safe Haven Worship Centre.

Dr. Sheela Duraisami graduated from the University of Chennai with a major in English at both B.A. and M.A. levels. She later pursued theological studies at Tyndale Seminary and Canada Christian College. Her passion is to equip the students to fulfill their God ordained destiny. She teaches English Grammar, Philosophy of Christian Education, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and the ESL program.

Dr. Thomas began his career as a teacher under the Ministry of Education in 1976. He was baptized the same year and became involved in Christian witnessing to the Muslims and Hindus through Mission organizations like Operation Mobilization India, and Gospels for Asia. He is the founder and president Faith Gospel Ministries.

Dr. Mukovsky received his M.A. in English & General Linguistics from the St. Petersburg State University in 1992 and received his E.O.C.P.C. (Hon.) in 1 9 9 7 .

Rev. Rooen has more than forty years experience as a journalist, editor, publisher, speech writer, government and business communicator and marketing consultant. He is currently working on multi-media/internet publishing, and teaches journalism, radio, and television production United States and C a n a d a .

A graduate of York University in Business Administration, and a member of the Society for Professional Accountants of Canada, Roma has over twenty-five years of accounting experience and presently owns Reliable Accounting & Tax Services. She also lectures, part-time, at one of the leading Colleges in Toronto. Roma ministers to her students as an integral part of the complete success package that she offers to them.

Dr. Kim has been the senior pastor of Nam Seong Church, KunSan, Korea for 20 years since 1988. He also had worked in MyungJi and JeonJu University. Presently, Dr. Kim works in JeonBuk Theological College and Seminary as a professor and planning Director, the administrative Director for ChongShin University, and the representative Director for IGM in Korea.

Dr. Jung has over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience including as President of World Power Revival Association. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Association of International Christian Academy and as Director of On-Line Distance Education(Korean). Dr. Jung is the founder and President of International Christian College and Seminary since 1999. .

Dr. Chung has held many positions in the past 30 years, educator, pastor, journalist, publisher, speaker and editor.
He was a former president of the Korean Christian News in Toronto. Currently he is the president of Mitto Cultural Institute, and the Korea Evangelical Alliance. He is also the founder of Mission Seminary and editor for mission and culture journal in Philippines.

Dr. Vic Hokkanen served as the pastor of a Finnish congregation in the Greater Toronto Area prior to joining the faculty of Canada Christian College in 1995. Dr. Hokkanen brings some of that experience with him to his classes in practical ministry. Students have benefited to his insightful and helpful lectures in Bible study methods and Christian counselling.

An honours graduate of the West Indies School of Theology, Dennis White has served the Church of Jesus Christ for 45 years in a number of key positions including President of a Bible School, General Superintendent, a Missionary Evangelist, a Senior Pastor and an Executive Member of the World Pentacostal Conference. In recognition of his long-term spiritual accomplishments and dedication to the Lord’s service, the Academic Council of Canada Christian College recently conferred upon Dennis White the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity.

Dr. Robertson was educated in Aberdeen, Scotland, prior to his immigrating to Canada. He is a well respected as a minister among Presbyterians in Canada, his native Scotland and South Korea. He brings to his teaching a wealth of experience obtained through his many years of ministry.

“Pastor Hugh” is the founder and visionary of Tehillah Toronto, which unites Christian young adults and has eliminated the walls of denomination, while equipping them to fulfill the goal of bringing our nation to Jesus Christ. God has blessed “Pastor Hugh” with a unique style for ministering the Gospel to a vast number of people, from youth ministry, inner city and junior high school kids to congregational leadership.

Dr. Eunice Davis not only teaches, she is also the author of many of the texts used both here at Canada Christian College and other institutions committed to training people for ministry among God’s chosen people.

Professor McKinnon is a graduate of Trinity College of Music in London, England and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada. He teaches all levels of music theory and piano. Many of his students have gained admission to numerous universities and colleges throughout North America. Professor McKinnon also serves as a member of the College of Examiners of the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is a published composer and is actively involved in music m i n i s t r y .

Suzanne has taught piano for 12 years at the Royal Conservatory of Music and held the position of Head of Music Ministry at New Life Ministries for 19 years. She is a personal piano instructor with extensive experience and has used a variety of teaching methods to successfully prepare many students for Church Ministry as well as advanced piano study leading to Royal Conservatory exams.

Mr. Aadin Church has a solid background in the Performing Arts industry, performing background vocals for such big names as Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and Patti Labelle. He has performed in Broadway musicals (“Miss Saigon” and Disney’s “The Lion King”) and in Off- Broadway hits (“Mama I Want to Sing”). He now enjoys teaching Drama at Canada Christian College and has written, directed and produced original drama productions playing across North America.

Léna Gauthier completed a Master’s Degree in Performance in voice at the University of Montreal in 1999, after studying piano and voice at Laval University and at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Winner of the Debut Young Concert Artists Competition, semi-finalist for the Joseph-Rouleau Award, and national finalist in her category in the Canadian Music Competition, Léna has appeared as soloist with various orchestras and ensembles and as guest at the George Weston Recital Hall, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Isabel Bader Theatre, among others. Her operatic performances include Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande and Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She made her first television appearance in 1998 in Montreal.

Léna released her first CD, “The seed that I am” in 2003 and it has been played on both secular and Christian radio stations. Léna has also been a guest speaker at the Canada Ministry Summit in December 2007 and at the Power Up Gospel event in February 2008. She has been ministering in songs for the past 6 years.

Léna has been teaching students of all ages and levels for the past 20 years. She has been an affiliated teacher with the Extension of the Music School of Laval University (1989-94), and a teacher registered with the Royal Conservatory of Music since 1995. Léna is also a faculty member at Canada Christian College as Vocal Professor. In 2003, she founded the Léna Gauthier Christian Music Academy, a music school dedicated to equip Christians with excellent musical skills and a Bible-based, worshipful approach to music.

Léna is the Music & Arts Director and the primary worship leader at Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries. Her husband, Vincent, and she serve in the church, under the covering of their pastor, Rev. Marcus Martinez. They are the proud parents of miracle children David, 4, and Marie, 21 months.

Stephen Kostrey, an experienced musician, studied double bass in the music performance program at the University of Toronto. He plays a variety of instruments including guitar, drums, cello, electric bass, trumpet and piano. He has a passion for the use of computers in music and is a world leader in music software and hardware. He brings to the College a broad understanding of computers and music and the music i n d u s t r y .

Barbara Thibault comes from New York State, where, at the age of 11, she began studying guitar under the tutelage of Mr. Pat Landi. An active member of the Syracuse Musicians’ Union,she studied song-writing and production with Mr. Michael Gentile of Motown Records. After moving to Canada, Ms. Thibault spent eight years as a worship leader at the Evangel Temple in Toronto. She has also authored a book of instruction called “Worship with the Guitar”.

Professor Picart represents Mekehla Music Group’s expertise in artist management and strategic career development. A seasoned marketer and communicator, he brings a decade of experience in managing artist careers while effectively branding them in domestic and international arenas. Well versed in record company relations and project consultation, he a recognized specialist in Gospel music and the convergence of Christian music with non-traditional mainstream music formats.

Bronson Kwan started playing the violin at the age of seven. In 1982 he was awarded a full scholarship to be a music specialist at Wells Cathedral School, one of only four music schools in all of England. He won numerous music and drama awards in England before coming to Canada and completing his Artist Diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is currently the Concertmaster for both the Toronto Sinfonietta and the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra.

Dr. Revell a respected Free Methodist Pastor in the USA and Canada. Organizer of Studies and practicum in Pastoral Care, Palliative Care and Chaplaincy. Author of books, videos and courses on Pastoral Care. Chaplain for York Region Police and former Chaplain for York County Hospitals.

Originally trained in Electronics Engineering Technology, Dr. Duff has pursued graduate and doctoral studies in Theology and Psychology. He is a Certified Professional Counsellor and the author of the book “Unlocking the Mystery of Depression”.

Dr. Errol Bennett is an Assistant Pastor, Bible Teacher, Child Care Worker and a Counsellor. Dr. Bennett has been with Canada Christian College for over 20 years and has worked with various departments over this period.

After teaching for 25 years in elementary school, Ronald Wilson taught computer skills and English for another 12 years to blind and visually impaired adults in the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. He has studied extensively both modern and biblical Hebrew in Toronto and Israel.

Pam has over 12 years experience teaching ESL in Canada and Asia. She has specialized in teaching pronunciation and communication to Asian speaking people. She has also developed a pronunciation program, “Speaking Clearly”, which has become very successful with ESL students. She also has a lot of experience teaching ESL Bible studies.

Luma has majored in Linguistics and has more than 16 years of experience teaching Linguistics, ESL and ESP to adults in Canada and the Persian Gulf. She has taught ESL and ESP at all levels to Asian speaking people and has been greatly involved in curriculum development for these programs.

Brian is an ordained Minister of the Gospel with a passionate desire to minister to young people. For many years, Brian has successfully reached the youth through the various programs in which he has become involved. He currently serves as the Pastor of Outreach at the Cedarview Community Church in Newmarket.

Rev. Lameck, a former Captain in the Salvation Army brings practical and spiritual balance based on her long term experience as a counsellor.

Dr. Hong has over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience, including as a stationed preacher in Dr. YoungGi Cho’s Osanree prayer temple in Korea. He has been teaching ministry at the Tae Han Theological Seminary, where he worked at the Vice President, and at the Seoul Theological University. He also served as the Vice President of the General Assembly of Presbyterian (DaeShin), the President of the Institute of Modern Preaching Research and as the Director of the Korean Christian Revival News.

Over his career Dr. Kim has held many illustrious positions including Vice President of Harcrest International Co., President of the Theological Seminary of New York, President of the Korean-American Association of the Princeton Theological Seminary, Moderator of the Synod of the Northeast (PCUSA) and Chairman of the Synod Assembly Committee. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Association of Korean-American Presbyteries of the PCUSA, as Vice President of the Presbyterian Theological Seminary (U.S.A.), as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Bloomfield College and as the Executive Presbyter of the Eastern Korean Presbytery.

Edgar Diaz was born in Ecuador and moved to Canada in 1981. He studied computers at the DeVry Institute of Technology, graduating in 1994. He was a youth pastor for 6 years and a pastor’s assistant for several Spanish churches. In 2000, he chose to pursued a Bachelor in Christian Counselling degree at Canada Christian College, completing it in June 2003. Edgar has a wonderful wife, Margarita, and two beautiful daughters, Andrea and Amanda, aged 15 and 12. Edgar and his family continue to serve the Lord in any way possible for His glory.

Jenny majored in Canadian Studies and the languages she studied are Spanish, French and Classical Greek. Currently she teaches ESL Level 2 at Canada Christian College. Jenny is a dedicated teacher and her students greatly enjoy her classes and her style of teaching.
