I. Course Description:

 

This course is an introduction of the New Testament, including an orientation to the historical background, religious context, literary forms, text, interpretation and critical study.

 

II. Course Objectives

  

1)               To provide a foundational understanding of the New Testament as Scripture and as history, and first century literature, this serves as the intellectual basis of the Christian Faith.   

2)               To survey the teachings and major themes of the New Testament for its relevance to contemporary life.

3)               To encourage further in-depth study of the New Testament for the purpose of understanding, commitment, and informed Christian service.

 

III. Course Requirements
